Porto Cruise Terminal

I’ve shown some of the photos already which I took on the 17th of September when I joined thousands of people at the Porto Cruise Terminal located at Porto de Leixões, which is the main harbour in the North of Portugal.

I thought maybe it was time to add some information about this structure, and take the opportunity to add some more photos.

So this project was designed by Luis Pedro Silva Arquitecto Firm and was completed in 2015 and now Porto can receive cruise ships up to 300m in length.

The building is not only the arrival and departure point of Cruise ships, it also houses on several floors, the Science & Technology Park of the Sea of the University of Porto. The Science & Technology Park has its primary focus on Resources of the Sea and is integrated into the Strategy for Collective Efficiency with the Ocean XXI Association for Research and Maritime Economy as well as the Cluster of the Creative Industries of the Northern Region.
