This past Sunday I woke up and saw that it was quite foggy outside, so I decided to take the dogs out for a nice walk on the beach, knowing that there would hardly be anyone around at that time (it was 07.30am in the morning when we got to the beach).
It wasn’t in the least bit could, despite the fog, and like predicted, it was nice and quiet until about 9.30am. Since the only beach that I know of that you can take your dogs even during the summer months is in Matosinhos, that’s where I headed, and there was a huge seagull convention going on.
Both Rusty & Dakota had great fun chasing the seagulls, which created great photo opportunities for me!!! We did see some other people around, some fishermen, a paddle boarder and some surfers, but like I mentioned early, the majority of the people only started arriving around 9.30am.
Strategizing the best way to get close to the seagulls without them noticing before they start chasing them 🙂
Some of the large amounts of algae I found lying on the beach.
A dead crab, and a little bit after this I found a tiny live crab, see pictures below…
Miss Dakota, the Rock Climbing dog, don’t know where she gets it from.
Found this pair of sunglasses on the beach, so I decided to have some fun with it with Rusty, and that’s when I noticed the little crab scurrying away.
Like I said, tiny!!! And below starts the fun with Rusty and the sunglasses I found.
He takes his job as model very serious, as you can see from his face. In the last picture I changed the white balance of the camera to a custom one I created, seriously great fun.
After the beach we headed over to the Parque da Cidade, but more on that in another post
