Mystery KAL – Around the World in 80 Days

It’s finally finished, well the knitting part anyway. Here’s a couple of photos I took after sewing all the ends. It still needs to be blocked, but first I need to clear some room at home.

The beginning: England

The first leg of the journey onto Egypt and the Pyramids, can you see them? (they’re upside down)

Next, India creating these lovely flowers.

Onto China and the dragon scale motif.

Japan was next and we have the cherry blossoms.

Almost at the end of the journey, we head to the USA and the Golden Gate Bridge

And finally the last leg of the journey. The border creates these hearts and large flowers.

I totally love this shawl, the colour (I dyed this with Koolaid) and the yarn 100% Pure Merino Lace. This is going to be even better once blocked.
