Birthday Weekend – Part 6 – Dessert & Birthday Wishes

Not quite the end of the evening, but I didn’t get photos of the club we went to after this. After the our sushi meal, we needed to walk some of it off, and we headed back along the river to the only Starbucks I know off here in Portugal (there might be more, I just don’t know where they are).

I had some mint tea, my friend had some coffee and we counted down the minutes to midnight so I could finally open my presents.

Finally it was midnight and turns out there were some other people at Starbucks celebrating their birthday, because on the stroke of midnight a lot of people starting singing Happy Birthday.

I was finally allowed to open my presents, and I loved them all, some lovely Malabrigo Lace in blues and browns; a lovely card; a notebook, which I’ll be carrying around with me in my bag (they always come in handy); crocheted doily, to match two others I’d previously gotten; and a lovely necklace.

I want to thank everyone who helped make this a very special weekend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
