Ovelha Negra – Christmas in April

This morning Fernanda and I popped into Ovelha Negra to hang out with Joana for a while before going to the April Knitting Meet-up. It ended up being Christmas in April. I’d recently gone shopping and found some things that I thought the ladies would appreciate.

Last time I’d been at Ovelha Negra with Joana, she’d mentioned that she’d like a cupcake type holder to put some balls of yarn on for decoration. I’d seen this cupcake stand at a shop and remembered the conversation I’d had with Joana, so I bought it and gave it to her today, as you can see it was immediately assembled and put to use.

Here is Fernanda modeling her latest finished item, the Rikke hat. Doesn’t she look good!!

While doing some spring cleaning I found these two cake stands at home, one that holds two plates and the other one just for one plate, and thought they would look nice in the shop as well, so I brought them along with some cheap Ikea plates to use for the moment. Joana will be looking for some different plates to give a more rustic feel.

When I bought the cupcake stand I also bought this little owl pillow in a green fabric, which of course went home with Fernanda.

And I got these lovely crocheted doilies which will definitely come in handy at home. Thanks Fernanda and Fernanda’s mum for these gorgeous gifts, I’ll treasure them forever.
