Some time ago I bought this lovely yarn (Rico Superba Poems) at Ovelha Negra having in mind some fair-isle knitting using a design I’m still working on.
In the meantime though I received my copy of Simply Knitting March 2012 and saw this cute little bag on the cover. Now the pattern calls for Rico Poems Aran, which I also happened to have in my stash, I just didn’t have the 5 balls, so I decided to adjust the pattern to the two balls of Superba Poems (sock yarn) instead.
I’m loving the yarn (single ply) and the pattern so far, it’s very easy to memorize, and therefore it makes for a great lunchtim knitting project where I can sit and knit and chat with my friends. The colour changes are magnificent as well, I’m really pleased with the overall outcome so far. I still have a ways to go, but I’ll get there eventually.
Next thing on my to-do list is to either find some fabric in my stash that I could use as the lining or otherwise go out and try find some fabric in the fabric store (which will most likely be the case).
