Yesterday we had the last knitting get together of the year. Because of the time of year it’s always less frequented than the others, but nevertheless, we had a nice little group.
There were presents exchanged. The main event this time was the Secret Santa swap we organized this year. Our theme for this first swap was Cowls, so Fernanda took charge of our secret partners and we only found out who our partners were when we handed over our presents. Everyone was very pleased with their brand new cowls.
This is the one I got from Micky, the perfect colour, I love blue. Micky was also nice enough to give me another present, some lovely cake (I’ve already tasted it and it’s lovely).
These are the other presents I received. Thank you everyone for the lovely gifts, I really treasure them and your friendship.
From Fernanda I got a lovely crocheted coaster, a nice bookmark from spain and a box of After Eight chocolates, thank you.
From Holly I received this lovely cupcake pincushion and some bone shaped Christmas ornaments for Rusty and Dakota and two lovely cards, thank you. By the way, Rusty was very intrigued with the bones, he wanted to chew them, but I wouldn’t let him, it seemed a shame to ruin all Holly’s hard work.
From Maria José I got some lovely Lemon Curd (last year’s didn’t last too long, maybe this one will last a bit longer!!!!) and some yarn which she no longer wanted, so I’m thinking of turning into a nice shawl for my grandmother, thank you.
We had a lovely afternoon, and as I mentioned before everyone was pleased with the presents they received.
Thank you again everyone.
