I’m currently working on a lot of presents and test knits, so no photos to share of progress as they are all super secret.
I’m working on my contribution to the Secret Santa for my knitting group, well we all know that this is a cowl, so no secret there, the only thing I can say is that I’m using some lovely yarn in the colours the recepient likes (I hope).
I’ve completed one of 3 test knits for Angela, she was kind enough to remember me from a previous test knit. She had three patterns to test and asked us to choose the one we wanted to test out. I did a lovely cowl, and seeing as it was a super quick knit, I asked if I could try out the scarf pattern as well, so that’s the one I’m working on now. In the meantime she asked if I could possibly test out another one of her patterns, and I agreed. Seeing as the deadlines are for the end of the year, I have plenty of time, and I think that the scarf should be close to finished, if not completely finished by the end of the weekend.
For the scarf I’m using 100% Portuguese wool, which came in a skein of approximately 120g, it’s in its natural colour, so a nice off white/cream and it still has pieces of grass in it. It’s not as soft as merino, but I think with a good wash it will definitely soften up. I’m going to be giving this as a Christmas present, just haven’t decides who to yet.
Have a nice weekend everyone, I might have some photos of other things next week.
