Sewing Sunday

I spent an enjoyable Sunday afternoon at Fernanda’s house yesterday. The despite the stormy weather outside we were nice and dry and warm inside. I brought some things to sew and knit, but only got around to sewing. This is what I was up to:

Ok, so here are the “raw” materials before being cut and put together, and this is what I ended up making…

an envelope style cushion cover with a piece of cross stitching made by me several years ago in the center.

another envelope style cushion cover with another piece of cross stitching made by me years ago.

I still don’t know if these are going to be Christmas presents or birthday presents, haven’t yet decided.

I also made another two pocket-keeps, and the only thing I still need to decide upon is whether I’m sewing the corners together, or if I’m adding some other form of closing the corners, whether buttons, or ribbons…

And here everything I managed to finish yesterday afternoon…

Oh, and I finally started a cowl for the group’s secret santa this year, but I won’t be posting pics of that until after December 17th, which is when we’re swapping presents.
