Before I go on to some photos and an update I just read this article about a school in New Zealand, I really wish I’d had the opportunity to go to a school like this. I might even have learned to like chemistry a lot more than I did.
Ok, so I’ve been doing a lot of test knitting lately, and I’m still not done, I have another 2 to go after I finish the current one. But of course that doesn’t mean I don’t do any other knitting in between. I have a Mystery KAL on the go still, which I really should pick up again as the final clues are finally coming out starting this friday. I’m also planning on knitting several baby items for several friends who’ve either already had their babies or will be having them sometime in the future, but I can’t seem to find the right yarn to go with the patterns I want to knit.
So I’ve decided to start on a present for someone who will have a birthday coming up shortly. I can’t give anything away, so all you will see is the yarn I’m using. It’s Fibre D’Art’s 80% Merino Superwash, 10% Nylon and 10% Cashmere handdyed yarn which I got as part of a yarn club I belonged to for the first part of the year. I might have to sign up again next year, but for now I have plenty of yarn to knit from . So this is going to be turned into a very nice and simple shawlette which I’m hoping the recipient will like when she eventually gets it.
